Engineering and Planning Head

1. Project Development and Technical Assessment

• Support the technical evaluation and development of solar farm projects, including assessment of site electrical requirements and overall project feasibility.
• Review project technical requirements, electrical configurations, and preliminary design concepts.
• Assist in evaluating grid interconnection requirements and utility requirements.
• Review technical studies and reports, including power system studies, load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, and related grid studies, as applicable.

2. Electrical Design and Engineering

• Review and/or prepare electrical design documents for solar PV projects, including:

• Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)

• Electrical layouts

• PV array and inverter configurations

• DC and AC collection systems

• Medium-voltage systems

• Substation and switchyard interfaces

• Protection and metering systems

• Grounding and lightning protection systems

• Auxiliary power systems

• Cable sizing and voltage drop calculations

• Review equipment specifications and technical datasheets for PV modules, inverters, transformers, switchgear, protection equipment, and other electrical systems.

• Ensure designs are aligned with applicable Philippine standards, the Philippine Electrical Code, utility/grid requirements, and relevant international standards.

3. Grid Interconnection and Permitting

• Coordinate with NGCP, distribution utilities, DOE, and other relevant agencies on electrical and interconnection requirements.
• Support preparation and submission of technical documents required for grid interconnection applications.
• Assist in reviewing System Impact Study (SIS), Facilities Study (FS), Technical Assessment, and other grid-related requirements, as applicable.
• Monitor technical comments and coordinate the necessary revisions with consultants and contractors.

4. EPC and Construction Support

• Review EPC contractor electrical drawings, calculations, method statements, material submittals, and technical documents.
• Monitor electrical works during construction and coordinate with the EPC contractor on technical issues.
• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with approved designs, specifications, and project requirements.
• Assist in evaluating technical queries, requests for information, and proposed design changes.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, geotechnical, and other engineering disciplines to resolve interface issues.

5. Testing and Commissioning

• Review testing and commissioning procedures for electrical systems.
• Witness or coordinate electrical testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and Grid Compliance Tests (GCT), as applicable.
• Review test results and commissioning documentation.
• Assist in resolving technical issues identified during testing and energization.

6. Technical Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain and review electrical engineering records, drawings, calculations, technical specifications, and project documentation.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and engineering recommendations.
• Assist in maintaining an organized database of project electrical requirements and technical submissions.

Pay: Php80,000.00 - Php100,000.00 per month
