Application Developer – Relationship App MVP

Join an innovative early-stage startup focused on building a relationship app tailored for a niche community. This role involves developing native iOS and Android applications from the ground up, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience. The project centers on delivering a robust MVP that includes custom profile features, in-app messaging, and essential moderation tools. You will play a key role in shaping the technical foundation of the product, with a strong emphasis on data privacy and scalability.

Deliverables

• Develop native iOS and Android applications with a unified backend database, ensuring full source-code ownership.
• Implement custom profile questions, filters, and a location/city field for every user profile.
• Integrate in-app messaging functionality and basic profile verification and moderation tools.
• Ensure GDPR compliance, with a preference for EU-hosted data solutions.
• Provide clear documentation on hosting, maintenance, and migration processes.
• Deliver a fixed-price MVP proposal, realistic launch timeline (3–4 months), and ongoing support plan.

Requirements

• Proven experience building native iOS and Android applications, ideally for startups or MVPs.
• Strong proficiency in Swift (iOS) and Kotlin/Java (Android), with experience in backend integration.
• Familiarity with GDPR requirements and best practices for data privacy and security.
• Ability to design and implement scalable backend databases (e.g., Firebase, AWS, or custom solutions).
• Experience with in-app messaging, user authentication, and moderation features.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to provide clear technical documentation.
• Availability to deliver within a 3–4 month timeline and support post-launch maintenance.
• Based in the EU or able to ensure EU data hosting is a plus.
