About the role
Manages maintenance of vehicle. Use computerized diagnostic equipment and manual inspections to accurately identify vehicle malfunctions in engine, transmission, steering, and braking systems.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle malfunctions using computerized diagnostic equipment and manual inspections
- Conduct test drives and post-repair system tests to ensure all components are functioning to manufacturer and safety standards
- Perform preventative maintenance services, including oil and filter changes, fluid flushes, tire rotations, and tune-ups
- Overhaul truck engines
- Maintain facility cleanliness in motor-pool area
- Warm up generator and monitor water pump
- Coordinate with external services for repair
- Coordinate with supervisors and operations teams regarding repair timelines and maintenance schedules
About you
- Proven hands-on experience as an auto mechanic or similar automotive technician role
- Automotive Servicing NCII Certification or an Associate's degree in Automotive Technology
- Proficiency with hand tools and other equipment
- Valid driver's license
