The role is focused on validating functionality, performance, and robustness across complex communication architectures before silicon implementation.
Working as part of a specialized engineering team, you will collaborate on verification strategy, test development, and debugging activities to ensure designs meet quality and specification targets. The position requires strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, and the ability to solve challenging verification problems in a collaborative setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-silicon verification activities for microprocessor-related IP and design components.
- Define, develop, and execute comprehensive verification plans and test scenarios.
- Build SystemVerilog/UVM verification infrastructure, including drivers, monitors, checkers, and supporting models.
- Develop, run, and debug directed and constrained-random test environments.
- Analyze simulation results, investigate issues, and support resolution of design defects.
- Verify that implemented functionality aligns with design specifications and established quality requirements.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Solid hands-on experience with Verilog.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital design verification.
- Proven ability to create and maintain verification environments, including development from the ground up.
- Experience with industry-standard verification and simulation tools such as VCS, Cadence, or Mentor Graphics solutions.
- Comfortable working within Unix/Linux-based development environments.
- Good scripting skills using Perl, Shell, Ruby, or similar technologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience verifying complex SoC or microprocessor-based designs.
- Understanding of computer architecture concepts, including cache coherency.
- Exposure to simulation acceleration techniques and performance optimization activities.
- Experience providing technical guidance, mentoring, or informal leadership within engineering teams.
