About the role

Responsible for leading and managing overall plant operations covering Production, Maintenance, and Engineering/Project functions. Define strategic direction, operational priorities, and performance targets to ensure safe, reliable, efficient, and cost-effective plant operations aligned with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define strategic direction, objectives, and operating plans for Production, Maintenance, and Engineering/Project functions.
• Manage overall plant performance in terms of Production Output, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Productivity, and Equipment Reliability.
• Optimize production capacity, manpower, machinery, budgets, and resources to support business requirements.
• Oversee Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation Maintenance to ensure equipment availability and operational stability.
• Drive improvement in production efficiency, downtime reduction, waste reduction, energy efficiency, and operating cost.
• Review and oversee Engineering Projects, Plant Improvement, Equipment Modification, and Capacity Expansion.
• Manage and prioritize CAPEX, Shutdown Plans, and Major Improvement Projects based on business impact and operational needs.
• Lead the resolution of major production and equipment issues, including systemic problem solving and prevention of recurring failures.
• Ensure effective coordination with Supply Chain, QA/QC, Safety, R&D, and other related functions.
• Monitor plant KPIs and drive corrective actions when performance is below target.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum 12–15 years of experience in Plant Operations / Manufacturing, with solid management experience at Manager level or above.
• Proven experience managing Production, Maintenance, and Engineering/Project functions.
• Strong understanding of Plant Performance, Equipment Reliability, Cost Management, CAPEX, and Process Improvement.
• Strong leadership, strategic planning, decision-making, problem-solving, and cross-functional management skills.
• Experience in Process Manufacturing, Chemical, Fertilizer, or related industries is preferred.
