About the role

- Act as an escalation point for complex trade, reconciliation, margin, and clearing‑house related issues.
- Ensure all exchange‑traded derivatives are processed, allocated, and reconciled in line with internal controls and exchange requirements.
- Perform and oversee daily cash and position reconciliations, investigating and resolving breaks and escalating where appropriate.
- Monitor unmatched trades, brokerage fails, and kerb trades, ensuring timely follow‑up and resolution.
- Maintain and oversee static data across core systems, including GMI, ATEO/LISA, Clearvision, SEALS, and Eurex GUI.
- Support onboarding of new business, products, and markets with minimal disruption to BAU activity.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend or implement process, control, and automation improvements.
- Escalate operational risks and issues promptly and clearly to management.
- Contribute to succession planning, knowledge coverage, and team resilience.
The Ideal Candidate Will Bring:
- A minimum of 5 years of hands‑on, directly relevant experience in futures clearing or ETD operations
- Current registration as Eurex Qualified Back Office Staff (QBO) or Qualified Clearing Staff (QCS)
- Strong working knowledge of futures trade lifecycle, clearing processes, margining, and exchange controls.
- Practical experience across multiple ETD operational systems such as GMI, ATEO/LISA, SEALS, Clearvision, CME FEC, and Eurex GUI.
- Strong organisational, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure in a deadline‑driven environment.
- Solid Microsoft Excel and Office proficiency.
- Experience contributing to process re‑engineering, efficiency initiatives, or control enhancements.
Personal Attributes:
- Dependable, flexible, and proactive.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Confident decision‑maker with good judgement.
