About the role

Assistant Sourcing role responsible for sourcing and purchasing of indirect material for production line, including all helping materials in production line and packaging material to support customer orders. This position reports to the Senior Sourcing Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Source and purchase indirect material for production line and packaging materials to customer orders following customer specification
• Setup ERP system with correct purchasing data
• Coordinate with Program management to implement new packaging material to customer
• Implement and source for new indirect materials including packaging materials to customer during prototype and secure capacity for ramp-up phase
• Negotiate prices and terms and conditions for the supply base
• Optimize current supply chain and optimize the inflow of packaging materials, reduce and combine demand to fewer suppliers
• Create and maintain supplier relationship within indirect materials and perform audits
• Approve new suppliers based on audit results
• RMA handling for indirect material
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required by Sourcing and Procurement

About you

• BA in Purchasing/Sourcing or equivalent working experience
• Minimum 3-5 years working experience in sourcing especially for indirect materials and packaging materials
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills
• Strong ability to locate, quality, and develop sources of supply
• Ability to work with suppliers to continually improve quality, cost, delivery while reducing lead-time
• Highly detail oriented and organized, with a sense of urgency and good follow-through
• Good command in English

• Trained and strictly follow workplace safety rules
