Job Summary

Genesys Engineering Services Ltd is seeking a skilled and responsible Electrical Staff/Solar Installation Technician to join our Electrical Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of solar power systems, inverters, batteries, and other electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission solar PV systems, inverters, lithium batteries, and related electrical components.
• Carry out electrical wiring, cable termination, and distribution board installations.
• Install solar panels on rooftops and approved mounting structures.
• Conduct site assessments for solar installations.
• Test and commission solar and electrical systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and solar system faults.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs.
• Install and connect cables, breakers, isolators, earthing systems, and protection devices.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and solar system layouts.
• Ensure all installations comply with safety standards and company procedures.
• Prepare reports on completed installations and maintenance activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

• OND, HND, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Practical experience in electrical and solar installation is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of solar panels, inverters, batteries, and electrical distribution systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and solar system faults.
• Ability to use electrical testing tools such as multimeters and clamp meters.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Willingness to work at project sites and travel when required.
• Ability to work at heights where necessary.
