As a Linux Administrator at IIWHosting.com, you will be part of a team providing support to our Shared Hosting, Reseller hosting, VPS and dedicated Server customers.

IIWHosting.com is seeking talented and motivated individuals looking to pursue a career in Linux system administration. IIW Hosting currently has openings for its support base in Bangalore. Relocation assistance will be happily provided to candidates who meet the requirements and are willing and able to perform the following job description.

• Bachelor s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Front line support via live chat helpdesk and telephones.
• Troubleshooting a variety of technical and nontechnical issues customers are having with their web hosting plans and services.
• Demonstrating the ability to diagnose complex customer application issues and provide quick and accurate solutions.
• Knowledge and understanding of software including database, spreadsheet, word processing and presentation packages.
• Taking ownership of issues from identification through resolution.
• Providing technical support for Level I issues via helpdesk and the telephone.
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as Apache, MySQL, and Exim.
• Assist Customers with data migration based on Account Managers approval.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
• Ability to work well with a team in a fast paced, constantly changed environment and follow instructions from supervisors and senior colleagues.
• Outstanding customer service skills and a dedication to the customer service experience.

• Ability to multitask and meet specific goals set by supervisors and management.
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot scripting languages such as PHP, bash, and perl.

SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:- Advanced knowledge of the cPanel/WHM control panel.

• Advanced knowledge of the Linux operating system.
• Knowledge of bash and perl shell scripting.
• Advanced knowledge of Apache, MySQL, and Exim.
