Project Manager – Network Infrastructure Integration

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

The purpose of this role is to manage planning and delivery of street work and functional requirements for integration of Rail and Rapid Transit stations into the transport network, and urban realm, including integration with other Public Transport (PT) modes, road operations and the resulting traffic flows, cycling and pedestrian traffic flows.

This role will be the interface between infrastructure delivery teams and PT operational readiness teams, during infrastructure delivery, testing, commissioning and handover to PT operations (transition and integration).

The role includes design management, stakeholder management, procurement, contract management and construction management.

In this role you will be:

• Strategic planning and preparation for the effective integration of the Rapid Transit stations with the operations of the existing transport network.
• A member of project team (both from within AT and external) for complex projects to enable the successful delivery of AT business objectives and optimise time, cost and quality project performance outcomes.
• Applying the project management principles, processes, procedures and reporting requirements outlined in the AT Project Management Framework and providing expert advice on legislation, regulations, guidelines and standards.
• Ensuring project strategies, plans and activities incorporate overall organisational and workplace safety.
• Leading input into internal and external reporting and requirements and promoting a culture of continuous improvement in relation to all required reporting.
• Supporting tender processes, implementing procurement strategies and effective governance arrangements to monitor provider, supplier and contractor performance.
• Communicating effectively with key project stakeholders to build trust and persuade and influence favourable project outcomes, including presenting at public meetings.

• Relevant industry-recognised tertiary qualification in engineering, business administration or project management.
• Bachelors degree, diploma or certificate in construction or project management

Desired:

• Project Management qualifications
• PRINCE2 foundation and or practitioner,
• PMP
• 3 years’ experience in engineering or project management and /or contract management experience.
• Experience in design of transport/infrastructure projects, associated tendering processes and project delivery
• Familiarity with MS Project or similar application
