Electrical Site Supervisor

Roles & Responsibilities. The Supervisor is responsible for execution and day-to-day monitoring of electrification activities at the village/Gram Panchayat level under the RDSS project. He will work under the Block In-Charge, ensuring that all site works are carried out as per standards, on time, and with proper safety and quality measures. Key responsibilities include:

• Field Supervision
• Oversee daily activities of field teams (technicians, contractors, etc.)
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
• Monitor installation and commissioning of infrastructure (e.g., smart meters, transformers, feeders)

· Survey & Documentation

• Assist in household/village survey and verify actual site conditions.
• Maintain site measurement records and daily progress reports.
• Support preparation of work completion and billing documents.

· Site Execution

• Supervise installation of poles, overhead/underground lines, DTR erection, and household service connections.
• Ensure work is executed as per design, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Guide contractor teams and labor at site for correct execution methods
• Allocate tasks and manage schedules for field staff
• Resolve on-ground issues and escalate critical problems to the Project Manager

· Monitoring & Reporting

• Track daily targets for electrification, line erection, and household connections.
• Report progress, bottlenecks, and resource gaps to Block In-Charge.
• Maintain records of material received, issued, and utilized at site.
• Maintain daily progress reports and site logs
• Submit weekly and monthly performance summaries to Block in charge

· Quality & Safety

• Conduct first-level quality checks of works executed by contractor teams.
• Ensure proper earthing, clearances, and workmanship as per standards.
• Enforce safety protocols (PPE usage, work at height safety, shutdown procedures).

· Coordination

• Coordinate with Gram Panchayats, households, and local authorities for smooth execution.
• Resolve minor local issues/complaints and escalate major disputes to Block In-Charge.
• Ensure smooth functioning of contractor manpower at site.
• Inventory & Asset Management
• Track usage of materials and tools at the site
• Prevent pilferage and ensure optimal resource utilization
• Stakeholder Liaison
• Coordinate with DISCOM officials, vendors, and contractors
• Facilitate site visits and inspections by government or third-party agencies

Pay: Up to ₹22,000.00 per month
