Job Description

A leading international technology company is looking for a Content Moderator – Quality Assurance professional to support its content safety and quality operations in Malaysia.

The role is responsible for monitoring content-review quality, conducting audits, identifying performance gaps, and supporting the continuous improvement of moderation guidelines and operational processes.

Please note that this position may involve reviewing sensitive or potentially disturbing user-generated content, including violence, hate speech, child safety issues, self-harm, sexual content, and other harmful material.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily quality audits of content moderation decisions.
• Monitor moderators’ quality scores and identify the root causes of errors.
• Provide clear feedback, coaching, and improvement recommendations.
• Handle escalated cases and support complex content decisions.
• Prepare daily and weekly quality reports and analyze project data.
• Work with internal stakeholders to improve guidelines and operational processes.
• Localize moderation guidelines according to the Malaysian market and language context.
• Deliver guideline and process training to new and existing team members.
• Support knowledge assessments and team quality-improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties required to support project operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/work experience.
• Native or fluent proficiency in Malay .
• Strong command of English , as it will be the primary working language.
• Previous experience in content moderation, quality assurance, social media operations, trust and safety, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in quality audits, error analysis, coaching, or stakeholder management is preferred.
• Comfortable working with sensitive and potentially disturbing content.
• Able to work on-site in Malaysia.
