Assistant Cafe Manager

Combi Elwood is looking for an experienced, energetic, and hands-on Café Assistant Manager to join our team.

We’re a busy, vibrant café in Elwood known for great food, quality coffee, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere. We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day operations and lead our team to deliver an excellent customer experience.

THE ROLE

As AssistantManager, you will be responsible for:

⁠ ⁠Managing the daily operations of the café

⁠ ⁠Leading, training and motivating the FOH team

⁠ ⁠Ensuring consistently high standards of customer service

⁠ ⁠Overseeing opening and closing procedures

⁠ ⁠Managing staff rosters and day-to-day staffing requirements

⁠ ⁠Maintaining food, coffee and service quality

⁠ ⁠Managing stock levels, ordering and supplier relationships

⁠ ⁠Ensuring cleanliness, presentation and food safety standards

⁠ ⁠Handling customer feedback and resolving issues professionally

⁠ ⁠Helping drive sales and café performance

⁠ ⁠Working closely with the owners and kitchen team

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for someone who:

⁠ ⁠Has 2+ years of café/restaurant management experience

⁠ ⁠Is confident leading a team in a busy environment

⁠ ⁠Has excellent communication and organisational skills

⁠ ⁠Is hands-on and happy to jump on the floor when needed

⁠ ⁠Has strong knowledge of coffee, food and hospitality

⁠ ⁠Can work calmly and efficiently under pressure

⁠ ⁠Has a positive, friendly and professional attitude

⁠ ⁠Takes pride in presentation, service and customer experience

⁠ ⁠Has a strong understanding of food safety and workplace standards

Barista skills are highly desirable.
