What they need
Part-time Operations Assistant at TurntableTrader
Battersea, SW11 | 15-30 hours a week, built around your timetable | £13-15/hour
TurntableTrader buys, services and sells pre-loved DJ equipment. We've just moved into a new office full of CDJs, mixers and turntables, and we need a hands-on, detail-focused person to help run the day-to-day behind the scenes.
MADE FOR STUDENTS AND MUSIC HEADS
If you're studying, DJing on the side, or just into gear and electronic music, this is built to fit around you:
Pick your days and hours each week around lectures and deadlines
Do fewer hours in exam season and more over the holidays
Weekdays mostly, some flexibility on timing
No suit, no script, no corporate nonsense. Music on, kit everywhere
Real experience in ecommerce, logistics and stock control that looks good on a CV
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Clean, test and prepare second-hand DJ gear ready for sale
Pack and dispatch online orders carefully and accurately
Receive deliveries and keep stock organised
Keep product listings up to date (photos, descriptions, prices)
Answer basic customer questions online
Help keep the office tidy and running smoothly
Learn to track sales and performance on our ecommerce tools (we'll train you)
Optional: help with content, social posts or email marketing if that's your thing
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Into DJing, electronic music or audio gear
Organised, reliable and happy to take ownership of a task without being watched over
Good attention to detail, especially when packing valuable kit
Comfortable lifting boxes and getting stuck into practical jobs
Any of these is a bonus, none are required: Shopify, Google Analytics, email marketing or SEO tools, social media, basic Photoshop
A UK driving licence and access to an insured car is a plus for occasional pickups (mileage paid)
WHAT YOU GET
£13-15 an hour depending on experience
Flexible part-time hours, 15-30 a week
A relaxed, friendly team and a music-focused workspace
Hands-on time with professional DJ equipment every shift
First look at new gear as it comes in
A clear path to a bigger ecommerce, logistics or operations role if you want it
