Financial Controller

STEP Education Pte. Ltd. operates seven coding and technology education centres in Singapore. We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee the company’s financial operations, strengthen financial controls and support its continued business growth.

Key Responsibilities

1.⁠ ⁠Oversee financial operations, accounting and reporting across the company’s seven education centres.

2.⁠ ⁠Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, budgets and cash flow forecasts.

3.⁠ ⁠Monitor revenue, operating costs and profitability across individual centres.

4.⁠ ⁠Manage financial planning, budgeting and cost-control initiatives.

5.⁠ ⁠Ensure compliance with Singapore accounting standards, tax regulations and statutory requirements.

6.⁠ ⁠Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, banks and other professional service providers.

7.⁠ ⁠Develop and maintain effective internal financial controls and reporting procedures.

8.⁠ ⁠Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management to support business decisions.

Requirements

• ⁠ ⁠Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.

• ⁠ ⁠Minimum 8 years of relevant accounting or financial management experience.

• ⁠ ⁠Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management and financial controls.

• ⁠ ⁠Good understanding of Singapore accounting standards and taxation requirements.

• ⁠ ⁠Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.

• ⁠ ⁠Ability to work independently and manage financial responsibilities across multiple business locations.

• ⁠ ⁠Experience in the education, training or multi-outlet service industry would be an advantage.
