Multivehicle Transporter Driver

Job Summary

Boarhunt Garage & Recovery Services Ltd is looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Multi-Vehicle Transporter Driver to join our team in Fareham.

The successful candidate will be responsible for safely collecting, loading, transporting and delivering multiple vehicles to locations across the UK. This role requires previous experience operating multi-vehicle transporters, excellent attention to detail and a professional approach when dealing with customers.

Key Responsibilities

• ⁠ ⁠Safely load, secure, transport and unload multiple vehicles

• ⁠ ⁠Complete vehicle collections and deliveries across the UK

• ⁠ ⁠Inspect vehicles and accurately record their condition before collection and delivery

• ⁠ ⁠Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any faults or defects

• ⁠ ⁠Complete all required transport and delivery documentation

• ⁠ ⁠Communicate with the transport office, customers and other team members

• ⁠ ⁠Follow all road transport legislation, company procedures and health and safety requirements

• ⁠ ⁠Handle customers’ vehicles carefully to prevent damage during loading, transportation and unloading

• ⁠ ⁠Maintain a professional and helpful approach when representing the company

Experience and Requirements

• ⁠ ⁠Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence

• ⁠ ⁠Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card

• ⁠ ⁠Previous experience driving a multi-vehicle transporter

• ⁠ ⁠Confident loading, securing and unloading vehicles

• ⁠ ⁠Good understanding of drivers’ hours and relevant transport regulations

• ⁠ ⁠Excellent driving and vehicle-handling skills

• ⁠ ⁠Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work independently

• ⁠ ⁠Good communication and customer-service skills

• ⁠ ⁠Flexible regarding working hours and travel requirements

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Fareham, Hampshire

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
