Position:

Pastry Intern

Key Responsibilities:

⁠ ⁠Assist in the preparation and production of a variety of cakes, tarts and other baked goods.

⁠ ⁠Measure and mix ingredients accurately following recipes and instructions from the pastry chef.

⁠ ⁠Prepare fillings, glazes, and garnishes for cakes and pastries.

⁠ ⁠Assist in new menu development and setting up SOPs.

⁠ ⁠Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients and finished products.

⁠ ⁠Maintain a clean and organized workstation and uphold kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.

⁠ ⁠Support with inventory management.

⁠ ⁠Participate in daily kitchen clean-up and closing duties.

Requirements:

⁠ ⁠Basic pastry knowledge is a must.

⁠ ⁠Must understand the works of a commercial kitchen.

⁠ ⁠Creativity and an eye for detail in presentation is valued.

⁠ ⁠Time management and ability to work under pressure.

⁠ ⁠Positive attitude and reliability.

⁠ ⁠Strong attention to detail, a passion for pastry and baking and open to experiment in the kitchen.

⁠ ⁠Ability to stand for long periods and work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
