What you'll be doing

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
• Manage the procurement process, including sourcing materials and negotiating with suppliers
• Provide quantity surveying expertise to project teams, ensuring adherence to budget and schedule
• Analyse and interpret contract documents, drawings, and specifications
• Monitor and report on project costs, identifying and mitigating potential overruns
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to optimise project efficiency
• Develop and maintain quality control systems to ensure compliance with industry standards

What we're looking for

• A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or QS Engineer in the construction industry
• Strong working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost estimation techniques
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure
• Proficient in the use of construction management software, such as AutoCAD and Primavera
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
