Senior Civil Engineer

Job Role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to independently manage design coordination, regulatory compliance, authority submissions, and approval processes for construction and fit-out projects across Dubai.

The candidate will be responsible for coordinating with clients, consultants, design/drafting teams, site teams, and relevant authorities to ensure projects comply with applicable regulations and obtain approvals within the required timelines.

Job Description:

• ⁠Independently review proposed architectural and engineering plans and conduct regulatory assessments for compliance with applicable UAE Building Codes, authority regulations, codes, and standards.
• ⁠ ⁠Identify design and compliance issues before submission and recommend practical solutions to achieve authority approval.
• ⁠ ⁠Manage and coordinate authority approval submissions, follow-ups, technical clarifications, comments, and resubmissions until approval is obtained.
• ⁠ ⁠Liaise directly with relevant Dubai authorities regarding project requirements, technical comments, compliance matters, and approvals.
• ⁠ ⁠Ensure designs and proposed works comply with applicable authority guidelines, codes, regulations, and accepted engineering practices.
• ⁠ ⁠Coordinate with site engineers and site inspectors to ensure execution is in accordance with the approved drawings and authority-approved plans.
• ⁠ ⁠Supervise and coordinate the design and drafting team to ensure timely preparation and submission of drawings and supporting documents.
• ⁠ ⁠Review drawings and technical documents for accuracy, completeness, and authority submission requirements before submission.
• ⁠ ⁠Ensure all required drawings, forms, NOCs, supporting documents, and technical information are properly prepared for authority submissions.
• ⁠ ⁠Monitor approval timelines, maintain submission records, and proactively follow up to avoid project delays.
• ⁠ ⁠Handle authority approval processes across Dubai, including Dubai Municipality, Dubai Civil Defence, Dubai Development Authority (DDA), Trakhees, Concordia, Dubai South, and other relevant authorities.
• ⁠ ⁠Provide technical guidance to the internal team on authority requirements, design compliance, and submission procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
• Valid G+1 or higher Civil Engineer licence/qualification applicable to the role.
• ⁠ ⁠Minimum 4 years of relevant UAE experience, preferably in authority approvals, design coordination, construction, or consultancy.
• ⁠ ⁠Strong knowledge of UAE Building Codes and applicable Dubai regulations.
• ⁠ ⁠Good knowledge of authority-specific codes, standards, submission procedures, and approval requirements.
• ⁠ ⁠Proven experience coordinating with Dubai authorities and handling approval processes independently.
• ⁠ ⁠Strong ability to interpret and review architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
• ⁠ ⁠Good coordination, communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• ⁠ ⁠Ability to independently manage multiple projects and coordinate with engineers, draftsmen, consultants, contractors, and authorities.

Salary:

• Up to AED 12,000 per month, depending on experience, qualifications, technical capabilities, and relevant UAE authority approval experience.

Pay: Up to AED12,000.00 per month
