Mechanical Design Engineer

• Develop high-precision mechanical assemblies and system modules for electron microscopy as part of an interdisciplinary development team
• Design and engineer complex parts and assemblies, including technical calculations and analyses (e.g., tolerance, strength, space-envelope, and thermal analyses)
• Actively support the assembly, testing, and validation of prototypes and test setups
• Actively support the transfer to series production
• Analyze and further develop existing solutions
• Document and communicate development results, and present them internally as well as to customers and international development partners
• Select and manage suppliers and external development partners
• Actively help shape the emerging process and methodology environment, both in SAP and in other systems Requirements
• Degree in mechanical engineering, precision engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable field of study
• Several years of professional experience in development and design engineering, ideally in precision mechanics, electromechanics, or vacuum technology
• Knowledge of vacuum and high-voltage technology is an advantage
• Proficient in the use of CAD systems (preferably SolidWorks) and simulation tools (ANSYS)
• Advanced SAP knowledge (R/3 and S/4HANA)
• Independent, systematic, results-oriented, and meticulous approach to work; quick comprehension; a high degree of flexibility; and a strong willingness to learn and perform
• As part of a global team you show excellent teamwork and communication skills, combined with a confident and friendly manner
• German language proficiency is a bonus.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for business
