Job Description Mission/ Position Headline:

We are looking for a motivated engineer/scientist to develop process simulation and AI-based solutions for medical imaging R&D, production, and clinical workflow innovation. The role focuses on hospital/R&D/SCM process simulation, AI-enabled PLM and internal system optimization, and AI tool development including RAG and agentic AI.

Areas Of Responsibilties

• Develop decision-support process simulation and models to evaluate hospital efficiency based on patient flowlines, resource utilization, user experience and operational constraints.
• Validate & analyze simulation results to support improvement of patient journey experience, working closely with clinical partners, UX colleagues, and internal domain experts.
• Apply simulation methods to support the design and evaluation of autonomous features in medical imaging products, covering both hardware and software/AI-related product capabilities.
• Actively access to technology scouting and evaluation of new methods in digital twin, process simulation, AI agents, RAG, and engineering intelligence
• Identify improvement opportunities in current PLM and internal central systems used across business lines, with a strong focus on Teamcenter-rooted engineering and lifecycle processes is a plus
• Design, prototype, and implement AI-enabled tools and features on top of PLM, R&D, production, and engineering data is a plus
• Develop AI applications such as RAG-based knowledge tools, AI assistants, agentic AI workflows, and automation features for engineering and lifecycle processes is a plus

Dimension Of Function/Volume Contacts

(internal/external) Closely cooperate with internal R&D functions, include experts, mechanical engineers, project managers and global colleagues; Externally cooperate with simulation tool providers, communities;

Education and Experience

Experience 2–4 years of relevant experience in distcrete-event simulation, workflow simulation/optimization, AI/ML development, process optimization, industrial digitalization, or data-driven R&D. 2)

Hands-on experience with Python for data analysis, modeling, automation, AI application development, or tool prototyping. 3)

Experience with Tecnomatix Plant Simulation/Flexsim HC,NX/blender, Nvidia Omniverse/Threejs and relate rendering tool, Python/C++ is mandatory 4)

Experience in Data analysis/Optimization algorithm, eg Genetic Algorithm, A* in mathematics is a plus. 5)

AI/ML, RAG, LLM-based tools, AI agents, knowledge retrieval, or workflow automation is a plus. 6)

Understanding of PLM, engineering data, product lifecycle processes, or enterprise systems is a plus. 7)

Experience in medical imaging, healthcare workflow, manufacturing, regulated R&D, or mechanical/thermal/EM simulation is a plus. 8)

Fluent written and spoken English for technical communication, documentation, and international collaboration.

Education

Phd is preferred, Master’s degree or above required in computer science, data science, industrial engineering, automation, applied mathematics, or a related technical field.
