Sien Yee, Alton Lee

I was appointed the role of an Armskote Specialist. As an armskote specialist, I was able to manage the armoury of my company, where I managed the logistics, transactions, and security of the company's armoury. With the experience I have gotten from managing the armoury, I have learnt how to do effective and efficient stocktaking, and how to manage sensitive transactions in an efficient and fast manner, that does not compromise security.

Was granted the opportunity to train to become an armour infantry specialist, where I learnt how to lead and execute plans with a team, of 2 sections of 6, where situations rapidly evolve on the ground, that require quick solutions, and initiative to execute. As a section commander, I took command over a section of 15 for 2 months in BMT, and 2 sections after, where I took care of their needs, such as their barracks quality, fitness and training. With my experience as a specialist, I have learnt valuable leadership skills and grown a high work ethic that places discipline and professionalism in high regard. It has also given me a rare opportunity to take care of people under me, and have a part in taking care of their wellbeing and safety.
