Conducted R&D in 3D mapping and photogrammetry, focusing on improving feature detection and 3D reconstruction pipelines in challenging visual conditions. • Specialized and fine-tuned the SILK keypoint detector on underwater datasets using PyTorch. • Integrated SILK into the COLMAP 3D reconstruction pipeline to improve Structure-from-Motion (SfM) and Multi-View Stereo (MVS) performance. • Developed a physically based underwater simulator with Mitsuba3 for synthetic dataset generation and benchmarking. • Modeled underwater scenes in Blender and characterized optical conditions for photogrammetric accuracy. • Explored research papers on keypoint detection, feature matching, and transformer-based vision models to guide improvements. • Collaborated in an English-speaking research environment, writing technical reports and communicating results across multidisciplinary teams.
