Project: Appian Mobile Peer-to-Peer Payment Solution Client: AIB, BOI, PTSB (Banking & Payments Federation Ireland) Partners: Deloitte, EPAM Duration: August 2024 – February 2025 Overview AIB, BOI, and PTSB, under the Banking & Payments Federation Ireland (BPFI), are launching a P2P payment service integrated into their mobile apps. The service enables instant transactions via mobile numbers. EPAM is responsible for Mobile and Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) API development and testing. Role: Solution Architect / Technical Lead • Technical Leadership & Architecture: • Design and optimize BFF API and backend architecture for scalability and security. • Conduct code reviews, ensure best practices, and drive architectural decisions. • Agile & Collaboration: • Lead a cross-functional team, ensuring smooth backend, frontend, and mobile components integration. • Align development with business goals and stakeholder requirements. • Quality & Best Practices: • Enforce high coding standards, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines. • Advocate DevSecOps and ensure a secure, scalable payment platform. The eCommerce platform to sell different vacation rentals. Our team's main focus was Vrbo Platform integration with Expedia Group services (Order Management, Payments). We’re responsible for the checkout part of the whole booking flow, and integrations with a bunch of services. Worked on stability, tracing, observability, monitoring, and system alerting for improving Checkout Success Rate.
