After leaving the NHS Information Authority I decided to work for myself as a freelance graphic designer, completing projects for AJEC Racing, and Rede2 Ltd (working on a World of Florida Brochure, among other projects). I was also contracted to work with the Environment Agency, within their Waste Strategy department creating graphs, charts and drawings to be uploaded onto the agency's website, within the new Hazardous Waste section.

While working for the NHS Information Authority, I designed and produced artwork for a range of communication material publications: booklets, flyers, brochures, publicity material, exhibition artwork, multimedia presentations etc. Part of my role was the responsibility of implementing a new style guide, in all new printed material. Within the role I took projects from concept right through to output. This involved liaising with NHS Information Authority personnel and suppliers, managing all aspects of print buying and delivery to budget.
