Data Scientist Scope Leading data science projects with a strong focus on operational excellence, employing data-driven methods to enhance efficiency, reliability, and sustainability in energy operations. This role leverages advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical techniques to identify, analyze, and resolve operational bottlenecks, consistently aligning with DMAIC, Lean Management, and Six Sigma principles. Operational Excellence & Management Scope KPI Definition & Management: Define and manage various process and operational KPIs, identifying and implementing potential improvements. Utilities Management: Ensure reliable supply of key utilities, including steam, water, and electricity. Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Drive new improvement projects using Lean Management, Six Sigma, PDCA, and DMAIC methodologies. Heat & Material Balance Management: Assess and optimize the plant’s heat and material balance for resource efficiency. Major Project Coordination: Lead coordination of significant projects, including business case development, P&L impact assessment, PPIs, OPEX, and CAPEX. Performance & HSE Strategy Supervision: Oversee performance and HSE strategies to meet corporate and regulatory standards.

Capture and trend power plant thermal performance data: KPI’s, What if, RCA… Identify and determine feasibility of specific improvements to optimize performance Heat Rate evaluation & Excess Coal Optimizing. Cooperate with power plant staff to troubleshoot and resolve thermal performance problems.
