Marafiq has hugely changed its organization structure and assigned a special team to re-design & implement the new Center of Excellence’s governance & project management procedures, the main responsibility is changing the roles & responsibilities while assuring that Strategy, Planning, Engineering & Implementation stages & deliverables will be smooth and has a value addition to the process & organization.

Collaborate with all industries in Jubail by providing the required information on the processes that can help the community to work efficiently and have a better understanding to all challenges and expectations from each party to reach the goal of having an optimum economic integration approach.

A strategic program for utility companies as per the government direction which contributes on having the required knowledge to deliver a plan that can overcome the issues of unproper integration between the systems and lack of inefficient processes that are affecting the organization to achieve its objectives.

It requires a complete knowledge about the asset management, evaluate the maturity asset management level of the organization (Gap Analysis), assessing the factors that affect the organization assets in both internal and external, along with preparing the AM strategies that shall be in line with the organization objectives. The program was led by Fichtner consultancy.

Being a lead auditor requires a comprehensive knowledge about the international standards (ISOs) and the organizational processes that affect the quality of overall systems and deliverables to have excellence in process delivery. The lead auditor must lead his team and the audit sessions efficiently and precisely which aims to have an outcome of excellent findings. The lead auditor is a consultant that has a better view to improve the process. - Audit departments experience (Projects Engineering, Project Implementation, Procurements &Contracts, Center of Excellence, Third-Party Project department, Tariff & regulatory and Industrial Security & Safety) - A complete special audit case other than the assigned departments for two critical projects (equivalent to more than 100 MSR)

It requires a comprehensive knowledge of best practices in project management, all related procedures, internal & external factors that affect the project delivery. After the implementation of the new major change on Marafiq project management strategy called as Project Execution Strategy (PES), the organization intended to improve the project management procedures (more than 40 procedures) and its execution strategy, I was selected to be the department representative to cover all the areas affecting the overall projects that impact the strategy & planning on Marafiq.

One of the main roles of a planning project evaluator in Strategy & Planning department is to have the capability to lead the stakeholders on Planning stages (Scouting & Feasibility) and rest of the project cycle. The CAPEX & support section in Asset Strategy & Planning department has the role to evaluate all types of projects, Projects related to operation & maintenance, Safety, IT, cybersecurity, admin projects, etc.

The auditee role is to represent the department in audit, it requires a proper knowledge to all department processes, understanding the inputs and outputs, the affected & interested parties, what is the department progress status against the department’s plans, understanding the business plan and key initiatives to cover the threats & weaknesses in SWOT analysis.

Requires presentation skills, complete knowledge of the company’s process, from initiation to project closure, knowing all stakeholders and what are their roles and impact on each stage.

Selected by the chairman of the committee in Jubail, the committee roles require frequent presentations to the departments along with safety audit, I was assigned on Finance, HR, Business development and business planning, Tariff & regulatory, Customer Relations and IT.

Tasks • Handling the main company’s CAPEX portfolio register along with portfolio monthly report that includes all project segments (Minor, Major & Mega), • Coordinating with all business units to meet the requirements of the CAPEX request, • Preparing five years CAPEX plan, • SAP-Investment Management (IM) expert • Processing of Capex requests for approvals (conceptual/full investment) from the CEO/Board of Directors Required Knowledge & Skills Excellent communication skills Portfolio Management Comprehensive knowledge on SAP (operating system)
