During the second half of my gap year, I went to Australia and worked as a volunteer in a environmental preservation association. It was an opportunity to participate in the preservation of the environment in Australia and to make it sustainable and accessible for everyone. During the first half of my gap year, I did a 6-month Research internship as part of a Polymeric nanofibers processing PhD. A major challenge of this thesis was the design of a hardware (CaBER) and software (algorithms) to characterize the rheological behavior of these polymers. My Tasks and Responsibilities : Rheological studies with software Programming of image processing algorithms with Matlab Image processing and Image analysis Robotics and photomecanics Design a new instrument (CaBER) Synthesize nanofibers from polymer Weekly reports on the progress of my research Increase my knowledge of polymer physics and mathematics (for data analysis)

During my second year of engineering school, I did my 4-month internship at Herrenknecht, the world's leading TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) manufacturer. I was a member of the TT-FS (Trafic Tunnelling Field Service) team, responsible for setting up and ensuring the smooth operation of an EPB-SHIELD tunnel boring machine for the construction of Poland's largest highway tunnel (in terms of width). The TBM we worked on was Europe's largest TBM in assembly (15,2 meter of diameter). My tasks and responsibilities : Monitoring of the renovation of spare parts Supervise the assembly of engines Supervise the assembly of gantries Study of architectural plans Management of deadlines and organization of the team Control assembly progress Daily and weekly report of the progress of the assembly
