Hermes Equity Ownership Services (EOS) helps institutional share owners around the world to meet their fiduciary responsibilities and become active owners of public and private companies. EOS' team of engagement and voting specialists monitors its clients' investments in companies and intervenes where necessary with the aim of improving ESG performance. Responsibilities: Carrying out in-depth research and preparing agendas to mitigate ESG risk and increase shareholder value at leading investee companies in India, China and South Africa. Liaising with senior management at such companies and maintaining dialogue. Leading on establishing two investor groups on controversial business practices in Sudan and the Bangladesh garment factory disaster via the PRI Clearinghouse.
