Brazil represents a significant share of Carrefour Group’s results and is a strategic priority for the organization. In 2015, I was brought in to lead the IPO of the Brazilian subsidiary on the São Paulo Stock Exchange, a major operational success and a human adventure requiring deep team engagement. ▪ IPO Execution Led the preparation of Carrefour Brazil for its public listing on the B3 (São Paulo Stock Exchange). The IPO was successfully completed within a tight timeline, despite a highly volatile market environment. ▪ Capital Markets Access & Financing Strategy Following the group’s inaugural credit rating, I defined and implemented the financing strategy for Carrefour Brazil in the local capital markets. I coordinated the treasury teams across the 3 business units to drive synergies and strengthen internal collaboration. I also developed banking relationships and successfully led six bond issuances. ▪ Strategic Transactions & External Growth Capitalizing on Carrefour Brazil’s strong financial foundation and performance—especially in the cash & carry (Atacadão) segment—I spearheaded four strategic operations involving external growth and partnerships: Cybercook (foodtech), E-wally (fintech), Super Nosso (supermarkets), Makro (cash&carry).
