Role Summary: Public Health Research Analyst for Department of Veterinary Parasitology and Entomology, College of Veterinary Medicine As a Research student, I was a member of a research team responsible for Monitoring and Evaluation of the prevalence of zoonotic diseases in farm animals kept and slaughtered in Abia state for human consumption, and most importantly performing the risk assessment accruing to it and predicting the epidemiological outcome. Role Description: ° Designing of Research procedures, methodologies and workflow ° Collecting of Research laboratory samples ° Extraction of Data from the community through design and distribution of public health questionnaires ° Laboratory Assay of samples; * Sample preparations * Microscopy ° Data entry of laboratory results ° Data preparation for analysis using Microsoft Excel ° Data Analysis using IBM SPSS ° statistical analysis; ANOVA, Chi Square, Descriptive ° Data Visualization using IBM SPSS and Microsoft Excel ° Research Analytical writing ° Translation of research reports to Igbo language further update the community extension offices.
