Marketing

Warwick Entrepreneurs

Jun 2018 - Jul 2019

1 year 2 months

University of Warwick

Warwick Entrepreneurs is the largest entrepreneurial society at Warwick, connecting students with angel investors and CEOs. As a Marketing executive: - I built the Marketing Strategy of the annual summit. It welcomed more than 15 speakers including the CEOs of Ocado, a strategy and operations manager at Google, the founder of Good-Loop (Ford under 30) and the CEO of Oxfam UK. - I managed a team of creatives and led the design of promotional content for our main events. 🏆 KPIs: - I gained expertise around the Lean Start-up Methodology, which comprises minimal waste with maximum productivity. I believe that designing a company's workflow following this approach is valuable since it can reduce environmental costs. - My year of enrollment was marked by major milestones: the Summit welcomed the most attendees since its creation! The rebranding of WE helped us get Accenture to sponsor our society. - I visited Berlin’s most dynamic start-ups from Delivery services (DeliveryHero) to Venture Capitals (Project A Ventures, FoundersLane) and got the chance to discuss with the CEOs. - I particularly remember one workshop held by Faizan Patakar, a former worker at RollsRoyce. He helped me build a project from an idea and write an elevator speech. It made me realise how some of us have valuable ideas but are scared to share it with others and be proactive.
