David Jordanoski

Part of a student-led project supported by the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies and IWConnect, where we developed a platform to help students find suitable roommates. My focus was on the backend, using .NET and SQL Server (SSMS) to build and manage the system, with everything deployed on Azure.

Worked on a project in frontend development using React.js and TypeScript, with a strong focus on building clean, responsive user interfaces. Utilized ShadCN UI and Tailwind CSS to design and implement modern, accessible components that enhanced the overall user experience. Collaborated with the team to develop new features, handle state management, and connect the frontend to the backend through API calls to ensure data is displayed dynamically and in real-time. Gained experience in writing scalable, maintainable code and following best practices in modern frontend development.

Contributed to a project focused on improving the reliability of casting from phones to Google Android TV devices. Developed Go scripts to assist the team in troubleshooting and resolving issues where some devices were not waking up properly after a casting session. Implemented solutions to ensure that Android TV devices on the network could reliably be woken up for a seamless casting experience. Collaborated with the team to enhance the connectivity and performance of Android TV applications, gaining valuable experience in network protocols and script automation using Go.

Developed GoGrab, an advanced web scraping tool built with GoLang. The tool efficiently extracts human-readable text from web pages, handles dynamic content using the Chrome DevTools Protocol, and leverages multi-threading for parallel URL processing to optimize performance. Integrated OAuth 2.0 authentication, JWT-based access control, and used MySQL within a Dockerized environment for secure and scalable data storage. GoGrab was designed to streamline data extraction and deliver structured, analysis-ready outputs.

Built a clone of "One Time Secret", a secure web application that enables users to store and share confidential information through one-time view links. The project focused on implementing core features such as encrypted secret storage, automatic expiration of links, and a clean, user-friendly interface. Developed using plain PHP, MySQL, and Docker, this project enhanced my skills in secure backend development and containerized deployment.

Worked under faculty work groups as part of a collaborative team focused on designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines for the collection and analysis of public financial data from the Ministry of Finance. Gained hands-on experience with SQL, ETL frameworks, and Power BI to develop insightful reports and visualizations that supported data-driven analysis.
