Prediko

Client Overview

Prediko is a dynamic startup on a mission to transform inventory management for retail businesses by simplifying stock forecasting & optimizing supply chains.

With a focus on innovation & scalability, Prediko aimed to develop an MVP that would showcase their game-changing solution to potential investors & partners.

Their goal?

Secure a place in Techstars, one of the world’s top startup accelerators, while building a product that could evolve rapidly & scale efficiently.

‍

‍

Prediko is an easy-to-use and cost-effective inventory optimization platform, eliminating stockouts and overstock for e-commerce brands. Their plug & play software integrates with e-commerce "sales & marketing tools" and accounts for upcoming events to provide inventory forecasting and purchase order recommendations on autopilot.

Their objective is to become the number one supply chain partner of e-commerce brands. To do so, They need to act as an extension of their client's team. Which is partially done by design and customer experience 🤝.

‍

‍

The challenge

Prediko first partnered with us to help them in creating their brand and everything that goes with it. Once the branding was done, they came back to collaborate on new & bigger assignments. 🚀

What was that?

Well, they faced a high-stakes deadline of just 4 weeks to deliver an MVP capable of impressing Techstars & future investors.

The MVP needed to showcase core functionality, but it also had to demonstrate the potential for rapid evolution & scalability. This wasn't just about delivering a functional product—it was about setting the stage for long-term growth & adaptability.

Prediko chose Nightborn to co-create a product that went beyond the initial MVP, laying the foundation for a scalable, future-ready platform.

‍

‍

‍

Our Solution

Nightborn worked closely with Prediko to accelerate the development of the MVP while ensuring the product was built for future scalability. Our collaborative approach ensured that we didn’t just meet the immediate goals—we set Prediko up for success beyond the MVP launch. Key aspects of our solution included:

MVP and Beyond: We delivered a robust MVP that not only met the core requirements but also provided a strong foundation for future development. Working hand-in-hand with Prediko, we helped refine their product roadmap, ensuring that the platform could scale quickly post-launch.

Front-End Development & Feature Integration: We built a clean, user-friendly interface designed for seamless navigation, ensuring that the MVP was both functional & visually compelling. Essential features for inventory management were integrated to give the MVP an edge, showcasing its potential to investors.

UI/UX Design: Our team delivered a sleek, modern design that aligned with Prediko’s vision of a cutting-edge platform. We balanced aesthetic appeal with intuitive usability, ensuring that the MVP was easy to navigate without sacrificing functionality.

Collaborative Team Structure: Nightborn became an extension of Prediko’s team, using agile methodologies to meet the tight deadline without compromising on quality. Our close collaboration allowed for smooth, fast-paced development while keeping all teams aligned.

Future-Proofing for Scalability: We didn’t just build an MVP—we created a product that could evolve & scale seamlessly. The architecture we developed ensured that new features could be added effortlessly as Prediko grew, positioning them for long-term success.

‍

‍

‍

‍

Prediko is about growth

The first challenge was to elaborate Prediko's branding. We are talking here about creating the logo, the brand look & feel to make Prediko unique. Prediko is about growth. That’s the key message that is visually translated into Prediko’s logo.

The next stage was to develop the MVP (Minimum Viable Product). Making an MVP allows us to quickly test if the product's idea is marketable and satisfies user expectations. It helps us in collecting user feedback and confirms our business strategy. An MVP is the best way to test the product on a specific market.

Why? Found out in this blog 👉 Why you should consider an MVP and how to create an effective one?

After testing & approving the MVP, our team focused on the design & front-end development of the actual platform, using React & Next.js to enhance the main dashboard & overall user experience of Prediko.

Our team implemented a dedicated "purchase order" page to enable the tracking of the current status of all purchases made by users & several graphing functionalities to help users understand their revenue trends & forecast future performance. We also created a new catalog page that allowed users to have a better view of their current products and SKUs.

These improvements have helped Prediko streamline its product management process, resulting in increased profitability and better decision-making.

Branding

We made sure the design was correctly implemented. Fonts, Colors, Images,... There was no space for an unperfect UI. The Prediko logo visually combines a Growth Chart and the K of Prediko. The K is a strong letter both visually and verbally. That’s why it has been chosen as the main letter for the logo.

Results & Impact

Nightborn’s collaboration with Prediko delivered results that extended far beyond the 4-week MVP deadline:

Techstars Selection: The MVP was instrumental in securing Prediko’s place in the highly competitive Techstars accelerator program, putting them on a fast track for growth.

Product Evolution: Thanks to our scalable architecture, Prediko was able to quickly roll out new features & improvements immediately after the MVP launch, ensuring continuous evolution of the product.

Scalability & Growth: The scalable foundation we built allowed Prediko to rapidly expand the platform’s capabilities, positioning them for long-term success in a fast-evolving industry.

‍

‍

Why Prediko chose Nightborn

Prediko chose Nightborn because of our ability to deliver exceptional results under pressure. With a tight deadline & high stakes, we provided a scalable, future-proof solution that went beyond the MVP. Our collaborative approach & focus on scalability ensured that the product would continue to evolve after launch, making Nightborn the ideal partner for startups looking to grow quickly & efficiently.

Launched in early March 2020, the Brussels start-up Foodiz was the first online food market for companies in Belgium.

They are reinventing corporate catering & want to "digitize the canteen" with a healthy & sustainable approach. "Digitizing the canteen" refers to Foodiz's decision to create its own virtual restaurants instead of working with traditional restaurants.

This is called the "Dark kitchen" concept. A concept in which everything is produced in their own kitchen with different cooking styles & where the focus is exclusively on delivery with no seating capacity for in-house diners or walk-ins. Preparing the food once an order comes in through the delivery app or an online ordering system.

In addition to overcoming the challenges posed by COVID-19, Foodiz swiftly adapted to the aftermath of the pandemic, specifically the rise of remote work. To cater to everyone's preferences, Foodiz's platform now offers a wide array of services, including a digital canteen, an online catering service for meetings, seminars & events, as well as a B2C delivery service of "Food Boxes", including BBQ-packs, etc...

The challenge for Nightborn was to provide Foodiz with internal operational tools to manage their orders in a highly efficient manner, as well as web & mobile applications for its digital canteen.
