Managed a multidisciplinary team (9 people) and oversaw the operational running of the department. Negotiated, drafted, and managed over 300 strategic contracts (business, corporate, IP) for leading industrial sectors (Biotech, Aerospace, Space, etc.). Developed new industrial and commercial partnerships, and supported equity investments, resulting in the valorization of more than 30 innovations. Conducted scientific and financial evaluations of valorization operations (assignments, licenses), optimized processes, and provided strategic legal advice. Monitored financial performance and oversaw the recovery of royalties (approx. €400k). Added value: Recognized expertise in management, business law, and intellectual property, dedicated to driving innovation and industrial performance.

Key Responsibilities & Achievements Strategic Legal Advisory: Provided expert advice and solutions to all UTT stakeholders—including management, laboratories, research teams, PhD students, and the Director—on matters of business law, intellectual property, private international law, public law, as well as pre-litigation and litigation management. Contract Management: Oversaw the drafting, negotiation, and implementation of all contracts for the Research & Innovation Department (DRE), ensuring legal security and alignment with institutional objectives. IP & Valorisation Strategy: Developed and executed UTT’s IP and valorization strategy, supporting innovation and knowledge transfer. Operational Leadership: Led operational processes, including the implementation of the “Quality Plan” (SATT GE – UTT), and managed contract lifecycle from negotiation to execution. Securing Scientific Collaboration: Safeguarded research exchanges by establishing confidentiality agreements and framework contracts, and by negotiating and drafting complex agreements with private partners. Project Recovery & Transfer: Managed recovery and transfer projects, providing legal expertise, strategic advice, and close cooperation with researchers. Research Results Protection: Implemented robust protection for research outcomes and provided tailored IP strategy support to industrial partners. Company Creation & Equity Management: Supported the creation of spin-offs (ethics committee applications, drafting bylaws, shareholder agreements, incubation support) and monitored UTT’s equity interests. Legal Support to Industrial Partners: Advised and assisted industrial partners in contract negotiations (collaboration, licensing, assignments, etc.), ensuring effective and secure partnerships.
