Site Reliability Engineer / Platform Engineer working in a small, high-impact SRE team (3 engineers) responsible for the reliability, security, and evolution of business-critical platforms in regulated environments. I operate and modernize a hybrid, multi-cloud infrastructure spanning GCP (primary), AWS, Azure, and on-prem VMware, managing 100+ virtual and physical servers. I lead complex replatforming and migration projects, including CentOS→AlmaLinux/Debian and large-scale VMware vSphere 5.5/6 → 8 migrations with custom low-downtime processes. Strong focus on Kubernetes and SRE practices: - Design and operation of production GKE clusters - SLIs/SLOs, incident response, capacity planning - Kubernetes security (Cilium,Kyverno,Tetragon) - Performance engineering and profiling (notably Golang), achieving >100% performance improvements - Load testing with K6 (custom Go extensions) and Python tooling Cloud foundations & landing zones: - GCP: GKE, Cloud SQL, Compute Engine, Cloud Run, VPC/Shared VPC, IAM, Cloud Monitoring & Logging - Azure: Virtual Machines, Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, App Services, ExpressRoute, VNets, Azure Monitor & Workbooks - AWS: EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS/Aurora, CloudWatch DevOps & Platform Engineering: - Ownership of GitLab (self-managed) and CI/CD pipelines - Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Helm - Configuration as Code: Puppet, Ansible - Operation of a managed developer IDE platform (CodeServer) on GCP - Optimization of GitLab runners on Kubernetes Observability & Security: - Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Alertmanager, Opsgenie, Centreon/Nagios - Centralized logging with GCP Logging, OpenTelemetry, SIEM - IAM (GCP, Azure Entra, AWS, Keycloak), secrets management (Vault, GCP Secret Manager) - CrowdStrike EDR, ISO 27001 compliance, CVE and incident response Active contributor to internal tooling and automation using Golang, Python, Bash, PowerShell and Ruby. Backup to the Tech Lead, involved in recruitment, onboarding, and on-call rotations.
