→ 12 person cross-functionnal project team → 90 Design Change Requests / Technical Specification Modifications analyzed per year → 2500h Design saved per year Through the steering of a 12 person core team, and thanks to weekly workshops, the requirements and needs of the Project Sponsor are validated, turned into targets and then actions with corresponding responsibles and deadlines. The project follow-up happens in both directions : toward the team and toward the sponsor, with whom the project milestones are approved at each step. Leadership and communication skills are essential in this process, since all impacted departments need to be included (R&D, Electronics, Manufacturing, Product Quality, Purchasing, Supplier Quality, Sales, Service). Implementation of dedicated KPI to manage performance.

→ 120 product non-conformities per year → 500 documents and part non-conformities per year → 90% reduction of non-conformities over 2 years After a benchmarking of sister companies, the project strategy is shaped and several Quality tools are implemented in the company, such as QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) and different problem solving tools (Ishikawa diagrams, 5 why). A dedicated Task Force is nominated, in which I am the interface point for the Design Office with the following roles: internal reporting of recorded issues, follow up of corrective solutions and Performance Management in the spirit of Continuous Improvement.

→ 5 technical designers to drive for development → 15.87m = diameter of the largest tunneling machine operating in Europe, for which I was responsible of the shield development (see link attached related to the Santa Lucia tunnel) → Up to 7 projects per year In an international context (German company, leader in their field of expertise, tunnel boring machines, and exporting 90% of their production), I had to coordinate the work of the team to provide deliverables on schedule, in a Waterfall Project Management method, with a strong anticipation because of raw material quantities needed for the manufacturing. A high level of customer relation was required to take into account the last design modification requests in terms of technical specifications and special requests, since every project was unique and dedicated to one customer. Sub-contractor and more particularly supplier relationship is also crucial and took place on a daily basis in order to validate feasibility (obviously also depending on the development stage of the project). Internally, I supported workshop assembly for any question or request, especially in terms of lifting, a highly specialized field with a high level of safety.
