Introduction

As a PhD graduate with additional years of academic and company experience in R&D, I am an expert in designing data-driven methods to test scientific hypotheses. I have worked with data from the most outstanding space telescopes, whether it was for astronomy (e.g. Herschel, Spitzer, Chandra, JWST, Gaia), or Earth observation (Sentinel 2&3), as well as developped skills in Computer Vision (model fisheye cameras) and AI algorithms (e.g. transformers). Using Python (e.g. Numpy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Tensorflow/Keras, OpenCV), I can manipulate, explore, and model data which helps companies to reach their goals, whether it is related to decision making for their long-term growth and stability, or for products they wish to develop and market. I am also skilled at vulgarisation, and can explain complex notions to non-experts by finding the most accurate analogies, which was useful when supervising PhD and graduate students, as well as presenting projects to stakeholders. Finally, I believe that my strong social skills will allow me to incorporate any teams at any time of the project, especially on Friday evening when it's time to go to the pub.

I led state-of-the-art research on behalf of the group to develop new solutions to process raw space-based data and fits models to extract the properties of galaxies. I wrote a Python library (IRAGNSEP) of over 3000 lines of code which fits models of up to ten free parameters to the data. The algorithm was constantly adapted and improved with new data to maximise effectiveness, while minimising biases. It provides strong statistical constraints on the properties of galaxies, and is flexible enough to adapt for the sparsity of some of the datasets. It also proposes a visual interpretation of the data via a series of plots and tables generated after the model fitting. It is distributed via PYPI and GITHUB to allow full openness, adaptability and collaborative work.As part of my duties, I also had to organise weekly seminars which involved planning meetings, inviting speakers, managing the budget, and chaperoning external speakers. Finally, I was also involved into the training of PhD students.
