Modelling climate extremes with convection permitting models as well as statistical approaches. I am currently focusing on modelling lightning hazards. In addition, I have been modelling tropical cyclones over la Reunion island

I was modeling climate extremes with convection-permitting models and advanced statistical downscaling techniques. In addition, I have developed a tracking precipitation tool allowing to enhances our understanding of convective precipitation event. This tool also helped us predict related convective hazards such as hail, wind gusts, or lightning. Finally, an essential part of my work at the Goethe university was to teach. Teaching subjects ranged from climatology to scientific programming.

I obtained my PhD in K.U.Leuven. Its title was "Towards high-resolution climate projections for Belgium: Combining convection permitting models with statistical downscaling techniques".

Research topic: Fusion approach of satellite data at different spatial and temporal resolutions.

Topic of research: Analysis of the African east wave simulated with a regional atmospherical model (MAR).
