• Ran the finance and administration of the N'Djamena office under an extrabudgetary project; supervised a team of 9, including one international officer. • Certified procurement and payment transactions on donor-funded education projects under UNESCO rules; verified their legality and regularity before authorisation; validated project budgets and controlled tenders. • Implemented internal controls following HQ audit recommendations; monthly bank reconciliation with payroll and accounts; financial reporting to HQ and donors in SAP and DUO. • Managed the office's human resources (recruitment, payroll, staff rights, drivers) and staff security in N'Djamena and on field missions, in coordination with UNDSS.

• Headed the finance function of a company combining cinchona plantations and a quinine factory; supervised and trained the accountants; daily cash, supplier payments, banking and VAT; monthly closings reported to the Dutch parent company; relations with the auditors. • Handled the company's tax matters under the free zone regime: tax inspection with negotiation of the assessment, and VAT recovery. • Rebuilt the analytical accounting plan for the factory (purchases, production costs, fixed costs) and for the agricultural side (nurseries, smallholder programme, quality costs); trained operational staff. • Built and monitored the budgets of the factory and the plantations with the general manager and the agronomist. • Prepared the application, monitoring and reporting for RVO adn GiZ funding of the smallholder programme; the funder audit raised no issues.

• Sole international finance officer and member of the core team that opened the mission. • Led the first deployment of Unit4 Business World 2.0 within CSDP missions, with EUMA as pilot mission and the support of FPI: roll-out, user onboarding, continuity of operations. • Set the accounting and control policies of the mission; accounts, payments, treasury, claims and bank reconciliation; verification of the legality and regularity of transactions before authorisation; reporting to Brussels.

• Planned and monitored the budget; approved budgetary and legal commitments and payments; defined the procedures for imprest accounts, petty cash and claims in a multicurrency system; managed a finance assistant. • Managed supplier contracts, invoices and payments under EU procedures (PRAG and Financial Regulation); member of tender evaluation committees. • Took part in the operational start-up of the cell: move from the EU Delegation premises to an autonomous headquarters, takeover of operating contracts, import of furniture, recruitment of local staff.

• Palm oil group of 25,000 ha and 10,000 employees; reported to the CEO and the CFO; managed 36 accounting and finance staff across three plantations. • Rolled out the Panagro ERP (finance, accounting and procurement modules) on each site, with staff training. • Rebuilt the purchasing procedure and the cost accounting system; introduced payroll controls after uncovering ghost workers and fraudulent allowance claims.

• Financial, efficiency and operational audits of 16 international subsidiaries (Spain, Germany, Poland, Turkey, Italy, China, Vietnam, New Zealand and others). • Scope: accounting processes (suppliers, bank reconciliation, receivables, treasury, commercial conditions, fixed costs), financial reporting (inventories, cost of goods sold, P&L, transfer prices, margins) and purchasing of raw materials and industrial goods.

• Built the project budget, then monitored it with corrections and adjustments; analysis of expenses and inventories; client invoicing according to works progress. • Managed a team of 9 in accounting, finance and stock; dealt with customs and port-authority blockages and recurrent tax inspections; managed the catering of expatriate staff.
