During my graduation internship at Institut Pasteur de Dakar, I contributed to a project focused on the digitalization of the institute's DNA sequencing process. The main purpose of that project was to further the institute's capacity to anticipate, detect, and respond effectively to emerging infectious threats. This internship not only provided me with a hands-on experience in the field of digital health, but also allowed me to leverage my skills in data management and software engineering.

Epidemiological surveillance is a public health activity that aims to collect, on a continuous basis, information on health events, analyze them to build numerical indicators, map them, and then disseminate the results, in order to produce an aid to decision makers in the health field. My internship project consisted of developing machine learning algorithms for data cleaning and data mining automation, and creating generic dashboards for data visualization and reports generation. My tasks include : - Data cleaning and data preprocessing automation - Data mining and use of Machine Learning and NLP for textual data processing - Design, conception and development of web applications
