Assessment of the ecotoxicological risk of contamination in the Gulf of Gabes using a multi-marker approach: The biomonitoring of the Gulf of Gabes was carried out using the clam Tapes decussatus and the sea worm Nereis diversicolor as bioindicator species. The study of biological response is based on the use of a series of biomarkers: general stress (stress on stress), oxidative stress (catalase enzyme activity and malondialdehyde accumulation rate), biotransformation (glutathione S-transferase enzyme activity), neurotoxicity (acetylcholinesterase enzyme activity) and genotoxicity (micronucleus frequency)
