Introduction
Sustainable finance professional, I have been a long-time investor in Sustainability. Keen to discover all its fields of application and materiality levels, I have devoted my career in studying, reviewing and advising on the vast topic of ESG criteria. I have advised policy makers and regulators as member of the High-Level Expert Group on Sustainable Finance (HLEG) and the Technical Expert Group (TEG), the EU Reporting Lab at EFRAG and member of the Occupational Pension Stakeholder Group at EIOPA still today and from 2018. As independent sustainability consultant (owner of DiligentVision) and qualified environmental auditor at EY and Deloitte, I have assisted companies embed sustainability in their business models and go beyond the remits of social and environmental compliance. I focus on issues ranging from climate change adaptation, to supply chain management and responsible investments, working with several European banks, insurance players and asset managers to help them streamline their Responsible Investment approach. I have developed a number of training programs and coaching on sustainable finance and ESG topics for companies and university students. A founding member of the UN Global Compact in Belgium, I have grown much of my career working with companies to improve their transparency and accountability through material and forward-looking sustainability reporting.
