Project aim: Development of an ICT hardware obsolescence model for aircraft life cycle. The overall objectives of the project are to: • Understand the current practice (AS-IS) and state-of-the-art in hardware obsolescence for aerospace industry; • Capture the available data for CAD and PLM servers and identify the missing date required to monitor hardware obsolescence; • Capture the customer requirements for model development; • Develop a mitigation and resolution strategy for ICT hardware obsolescence; • Identify the key drivers for resolving hardware obsolescence issues in aerospace industry; • Develop an ICT hardware obsolescence model; • Validate the developed model using detailed expert judgment.
