Development of a graphical Java application (SWING) allowing users to connect to their car's OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) connector via computer's serial port, to monitor car status data and get explanations for potential defect codes it may receive. The application was also intended to ultimately evolve into an Expert System, guiding the user through a process of malfunction identification and solving.
