Developed and implemented RedStorm, a modular cybersecurity project designed to perform automated vulnerability assessments on websites. Key features include: Integrated phases for reconnaissance, scanning, and exploitation using specialized tools and agents (e.g., Nmap for port scanning, WPScan for WordPress vulnerabilities, and Metasploit-inspired intelligence). Utilized Python-based API with FastAPI for backend, incorporating Gemini LLM for intelligent report generation, including executive summaries, risk assessments, and remediation recommendations. Handled data storage in structured JSON formats, with auto-cleanup mechanisms for client-specific results. Focused on ethical hacking practices to identify weaknesses like open ports, outdated software, and potential exploits, enhancing overall security posture simulations. This project demonstrated skills in API development, AI integration, and penetration testing, contributing to hands-on experience in real-world vulnerability management.
