Project: LEONARDO – Document Output Management (DOM) Modernization Leading the architecture and end-to-end technical delivery of a strategic modernization program transforming a high-volume, business-critical Document Output Management (DOM) platform processing 1M+ documents/day. The program migrates a legacy on-premise platform to a cloud-native AWS architecture, leveraging event-driven architecture, distributed systems, and modern DevOps/SRE practices. The initiative includes cloud migration, integration with AOMS SmartCOMM, decommissioning legacy technologies (WebSphere, DB2, NAS, CFT), and building a scalable, resilient, secure, and highly observable platform. Key Responsibilities * Lead the architecture and design of cloud-native, event-driven distributed systems on AWS. * Define architecture patterns including asynchronous messaging, event-driven communication, idempotency, retry strategies, DLQ, and resilience (Circuit Breaker). * Drive architectural governance and align solutions with enterprise standards and security requirements. * Provide technical leadership for Java 21 / Spring Boot microservices, establishing engineering standards and Clean Architecture principles. * Review code with a focus on quality, performance, concurrency, JVM optimization, and maintainability. * Design and deploy containerized applications on Amazon EKS (Kubernetes). * Integrate AWS services including EventBridge, SQS, Lambda, S3, IAM, KMS, and CloudWatch. * Implement CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), cloud security best practices, and zero-downtime deployment strategies. * Improve scalability, resilience, observability, and production reliability. * Mentor engineers and lead offshore teams to deliver high-quality software. Project: M2C (Move to Cloud) – WebSphere Application Migration to AWS Contributed to the M2C (Move to Cloud) program, migrating enterprise applications from IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) to the CRP2 AWS platform. The project focused on containerizing legacy applications, deploying them on Amazon EKS (Kubernetes) through automated CI/CD pipelines, and adapting applications to operate seamlessly in a cloud-native environment. Key Responsibilities * Migrate Java enterprise applications from WebSphere to AWS. * Analyze and implement application changes required for cloud compatibility. * Containerize applications using Docker and deploy them on Amazon EKS. * Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins. * Modernize and optimize application components to improve reliability and maintainability. * Develop and enhance Java applications using Spring Boot, Spring Batch, REST APIs, and Angular. * Perform unit testing, troubleshooting, and production support. * Monitor application health and performance using Splunk and Dynatrace. * Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to ensure successful cloud migration and delivery.
