"Deep Learning for objects detection in 3D point clouds" Within the VAR (Vision, Autonomy and Robotic learning) laboratory, I worked on exploring deep learning solutions for object detection in 3D point-clouds. I made a state of the art of deep learning algorithms and resources for object detection in 3D point-clouds. I identified and selected relevant models (SECOND, PointPillars and others) and applied them to develop a demonstrator performing object detection in point-clouds in real-time. I implemented a data pipeline for RGBD images and trained models on the extracted point-clouds. I built docker images to run experiments and trainings both on a local machine and HPC servers. used: Linux, Python, Git, Docker, Pytorch, Jupyter, Glumpy, OpenGL

I was charged with the early development of an A.I capable of detecting and identify car parts and damages on cars. With the goal of making a P.O.C. Using different machines learning framework such as Darknet or Tensorflow, and different neural networks for object detection (YOLO, ResNet, Detectron, Mask-RCNN) I tested and evaluated the possibilities of using this kind of technology for segmentation of the car parts and damage detection. I also devised and implemented a streamlined process for annotating and managing images of damaged cars from WeProov's database to be used for training. This allowed for employee without prorgramming skills to help constituting two datased of more than 3000 annotated images. Used: Linux, Git, Docker, Python, Darknet, Tensorflow, Jupyter

As my first professional experience, I joined the development team of Weproov, a start-up developping an application for digitalized check-ups. As many of their clients were car renters, they were considering the usage of A.I for automatisation of the checking process before and after the rental. My internship consisted of establishing a state of the art of the field of object detection and set up a development environment for machine learning (ie: install linux on a GPU equipped machine, drivers and tools: CUDA, CUDnn, Darknet, Tensorflow, docker, jupyter) Furthermore, I annotated images from Weproov's database and applied OCR/object detection algorithms to read registration plates and detect head/tail lights in order to evaluate the possibilities to exploit the images gathered in their database. Used: Git, Docker, Python, Darknet, Tensorflow
