I worked as the reference engineer for SQL/database topics within a small core-team at Murex. Key responsibilities: • Designed and maintained internal tools for data consistency, configuration management, and dataset integrity • Developed internal utilities and automation for managing data flows • Created data structure diagrams software for metadata models, which became an internal standard used by developers and analysts • Maintained the internal database knowledge base website, serving 50–80 unique users per month across engineering and support teams • Debugged and optimised behaviours related to storage, indexing and SQL performance • Contributed to the reliability of database-related components used in trading and risk workflows • Pioneered improved database practices and options used across internal teams, and supported engineers with database-related issues.
