As a Solution Architect & Consultant for Dell's Converged Data Centre, Networking and Software Define Network portfolio in Europe, I provide both pre- and post-sales consultancy and design on networks, hyper-converged data centres and core campus LAN. Specialising in the integration of SDN technologies like; VMware NSX, Bigswitch, Pluribus and IPInfusion into legacy 3-tier Data Centres and accompanying large corporate enterprises across all verticals and public administrations on their transformation to private and hybrid cloud integration.

As Dell's Solution Architect & Consultant for Dell’s Converged Data Centre and Networking & Security Portfolio in France, I provide both pre- and post-sales support, consultancy, audits and design on networks, security, hyper-converged data centres and core campus LAN, (including cloud based technology, software defined networks, software orchestration, automation, provisioning and virtualisation) to both public and private customers in all verticals.

Business, Service and Operational Transformation: Developing strategic customer accounts for long-term partnership and ICT transformation to migrate from privately managed IT Services to hybrid and cloud managed services. Launched the first VaaS (Video-as-a-Service, in the cloud) hosted in KSA for the SMB and Enterprise market. Several customers are already using this new cloud service within two weeks of its launch. Launched an audio bridge, collaboration service (based around Webex, with white-boarding and video integration) to customers across the Saudi market. Saudi Airlines, STC, National Commercial Bank are amongst some of the first customers using this service. Launched pro-active Remote Management & Monitoring managed services platform for customers to provide a strategic roadmap to IT transformation, reduction of TCO and improved efficiency, whilst enhancing the features and network performance. Within the first month of service Ar Riyadh Development Authority purchased this service. Worked on the business case and partner engagement for a Data Centre Cloud solution to provide IaaS, SaaS and storage services to the SMB and Enterprise markets. Actively engaged in high level (COO, Director, VP) customer engagement in KSA on a weekly basis, to present BT’s solutions and services, develop business and drive revenue around the newly launched value added, managed services.

Managing 60+ people across five teams, consisting of; - Pre-sales engineers, - Project Managers, - Logistics - Network and customer support engineers and technicians - Service Desk As Operations, Pre-Sales and Business Development Manager for Saudi Arabia, at BT, provided me with invaluable experience developing and managing 5 teams with over 60+ employees; Pre-sales, Network Engineering, Service Desk, Project Management and Logistics from scratch to serve BT’s global customers with a footprint in one of the fastest growing economies in the Middle East. Managing the introduction of the BT MPLS PoP, Cisco Gold Certification, ISO 9000 audit requirements and building ITIL processes, procedures and work practices to provide end-to-end integrated network solutions to global customers such as; HSBC, Baker-Hughes, BAE Systems and the Saudi Department of Education. Moreover, providing pre-sales support, design and solution consultancy to global customers in Saudi Arabia for Unified Communications, Telepresence and Video with final technical design authority sign-off on all large scale projects from US$100,000 up to US$10m. In parallel, business, service and product development in the collaboration technologies based around the Cisco and Tandberg video and Telepresence product portfolio, capitalizing on my large support, design and sales experience in this area. I have further developed this role to expand into strategy, portfolio management and business development to create new value propositions for customers; such as video-in-the-cloud and remote management and monitoring of customer networks, helping to define their requirements and providing managed services, hosted, cloud or bespoke solutions to meet their business objectives whilst maintaining and optimising the end-to-end solutions and infrastructure, such as remote management and monitoring, network operations and optimization.

Whilst working a a support engineer I worked with a variety of technologies - describd below - handling customer service requests on technical issues related to routing and switching. Technologies: TCP/IP, Gigabit/Fast/Ethernet, Token Ring, Frame Relay, ATM, X25, All IP Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IGRP,RIP), QoS, MPLS, MPLS-VPN, IP Multicast, IPX and associated Routing Protocols, VOIP, IOS Security. Knowledge of all low-end and core routing and switching platforms including Cisco 12000 and Catalyst 6000 series.
